Public notification will only be made if it is necessary to protect the public. However, the Act specifically states that in no case shall the FBI release the identity of any victim of an offense that required registration of a sex offender.Note: the information contained in the national registry and the state and tribal registries is identical; the national registry simply enables a search across multiple jurisdictions.
Welcome to the Louisiana State Police, State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry Site.
This site contains registration information on convicted Sex Offenders or Child Predators in the state of Louisiana.
The community notification process in Arizona is triggered by a sex offender's release from jail/prison or sentence to probation.
When this occurs, the respective county adult probation agency or Arizona Department of Corrections (DOC) is required to enter information about the offender into a statewide accessible database.
The National Sex Offender Registry is a database available only to law enforcement that is maintained by the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division. Our Crimes Against Children Unit at FBI Headquarters coordinated the development of the National Sex Offenders Registry (NSOR), which is currently managed by the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division.
